I entered Yukpon on the Top of the World Highway
in the Camp they showed how they extract the gold to tourists
only little flakes of gold they find today

The City is partly perfectly restored

some of the houses are just conservated
leaving Dawson City
not far away from the City the Dempster Highway is heading north... an Adventure for the next trip
the road leads through open terrain
you always have the chance to wee the hills and mountains around
in the night i got a beautiful aurora over my campsite
some parts of the roads are always under construction
and can be a little bit dusty
River crossing at Pelly crossing
taking a break along Yukon River
chased by the rain but almost never caught
coming down to carmacks
the standard trailer in Northamerica
and on the road goes
passing wildfire zones of incredible sizes
shimmering beautiful in the evening sun
sometimes the colours were really unreal
a few of my campsites were like paintings
the guy in the bushes is me!
several walls in Whitehorse have been covered with paintings and grafiti
Bike Garages in the Center
Building the Yukon Railways
heading southwards to carcross
Caroline my new company
cycling toward the coastal mountains
passing the smallest desert of the world
more the rest of a glacial lake than a desert
carcross has a lot of historical buildings
and the oldest still running shop in Yukon
Sunset and Moonrise the next evening
cycling along LAkes and Mountains towards the Alaskan Highway
crossing a lot of rivers on the way
like here in Teslin
View back down to Teslin
wetlands along the Road
the traffic is very calm and the road gorgeous
one of the view open restplaces along the road
landscape stays beautiful
and then we reached Watson Lake
and visited the Signpost Forrest
Roadsigns and selfmade ones...
from all over the world are collected...
...and presented here...
...interesting walk
to Liard we took a truck
enjoyed the ride
and the view out on the Alaskan Highway
Jeff got a lot to tell about the road and the region
and then we saw the Bisons
first single ones and then the HErds
just hanging around along the Road
